Road Trip

Sometimes a road trip is just what is needed to restore balance and calmness in our otherwise busy and stressful lives.

My favorite road trips are spontaneous ventures with no destination planned. You hit the road, and let it take ya where you end up.

I particularly enjoy a mountainous road trip. The wilderness always has a soothing effect on me, especially during the evening hours.

With views like this, who wouldn’t enjoy a road trip? Unfortunately, I was unable to find any Rainier Artesian’s.

Have you taken a road trip lately, whether planned or not? Let us know!

–>Beautiful pictures. We just drove from Virginia to Northern Kentucky and back in the last four days. I’m exhausted. Plus, we did it at night so not a lot to see but the brake lights of other vehicles.

You now I love road trips too. Well except for the kid can be less than agreeable for them depending on her mood and just what she expects at the end of said trip. The furthest we go nowadays is Austin but I really really like it there so I’m happy enough. Sadly we have not seen a lot of Texas terrain but I hear it’s kinda flat and dry. We are in hill country so we wouldn’t have to drive real far to see it so that doesn’t count. We’re from So Cal and the mountains there are beautiful. Can’t really compare them to anything we have out here.
Have fun!

We’ve traveled the country for years and I love seeing new things. I always thought it was a good way to let the kids see different parts of the country and how wonderful it is. Love your pictures. We’re off to Maine soon, I love the ocean scenery.

We drive up and down CA fairly often but I wouldn’t consider it a road trip as the trip is not part of the fun.

Those pictures are amazing, and I totally agre… I just love road trips.

I love road trips, but I am more of the planned road trip kind! I also prefer being in a car, than a plane. I haven’t been on a real road trip in about 6 years, I think I am overdue!

I love a spontaneous road trip. I’ve been doing a little highway travelling lately, but it’s been with a specific destination and purpose in mind. Not the same thing, really.

Road Trips are wonderful for that “foot thing” …Keep putting one foot in front of the other…and have a great drive!

Nope, not lately. But I’m with you. I love road trips. It’s been two years since our last one. Sigh. Much too long.

The first two pictures looks JUST like where I am, El Paso. But then the third one came and it had ….trees….. and snow…… so I knew then that is was NOT El Paso.. I am actually driving cross country (again) in a few days. El Paso to Augusta, Georgia. Wish me luck :)

Yes, last week actually ! My daughter, her boyfriend and I drove up into the Atherton Tablelands to a little picturesque town called “Yungaburra” and stayed in a lovely old “Queenslander” cottage. What a breath of fresh air to the soul ! Even the flat tyre on the way home did nothing to diminish the experience !

I love the photos ! Such spectacular country.
