I was a smoker for 21 years. I started when I was 12 and finally quite at age 32. I'm 36 now & have been smoke free for 4 years. I still experience cravings even after so long, but it's nothing like the first 3 months. That was rough times.

What I did to quit was substute my nicotine addiction with another addiction, Caffiene. Basically I drank coffee & soda to curb the nicottine craving & always had a pocket full of jolly ranchers to curb the habbit of having something in my mouth. The combination of the jolly rancher to suck on & the caffeine help me get through the hardest times.

Just goes to show I suppose that what works for one may not always work for another. It's good to keep your options open though and try new things till you find what works for you.
