Life Without Grace

There is one woman who I will always remain with in spirit, her name is Grace. Grace was my fiancee until she was tragically struck down in an automobile accident in 2006.

living without grace

Grace would often tell me she was living on borrowed time, so she felt compelled to do her best in order to be able to help others.

As I reflect on our many conversations together, I realize all of us are, and so should we all do our best to help those who are in need.

Grace loved her “children” (her dogs), her sunflowers, and most of all she loved living life.

Grace exuded a great deal of energy and love of life that touched all that were blessed with her presence. I myself learned again how to live each day to the fullest as if it might be my last because of her.

Grace wanted to make a difference and strived to be in a position where she could best help abused children. This was not only her goal, but her passion. I love Grace still with all my being. She will remain alive always in my heart and soul.

I truly believe that fate had brought the two of us together, we were meant to find each other at that particular time in our lives.

We shared many of the same barriers, with trust being our most difficult obstacles. Through our trials, we managed to always find ourselves in the comfort of one another’s arms.

During the last months together, we were able to unconditionally believe in one another, and touch one another’s hearts. We lived in the moment, while planning for our future together.

Though I am filled with great sorrow, I will each day embrace the wonderful memories I shared with Grace.

For reasons I may never understand, the Lord had other plans for Grace. I know where ever she is now, that place is a little brighter, more animated, and a heck of a lot more fun because of her presence.

I looked forward to being with Grace every day, I enjoyed her company immensely. Her smile compelling, her spirit enduring, her enthusiasm for life was infectious, and most of all, the time we shared I will always cherish.

I look forward to the time when I will again see Grace. I am hopeful that when it is my time to depart this life and embark on the next, it is she waiting to greet me.

–>Grace is a beautiful name for lovely woman. I always try to keep in mind that there is a bigger plan in place for all of us even though it doesn’t always make sense.

These kinds of anniversaries are hard. Hopefully with time the pain will be less acute. It seems that one of the hardest things for people to remember is that we may not be here tomorrow. It helps to be reminded so that we (I) focus on the important things. Thanks for sharing.

That is a lovely tribute. How blessed you’ve been to have experienced such a deeply loving and respectful relationship with another.

As for more recent events, I believe you will eventually look back on this time with gratitude. Our darkest days are often periods when the most profound growth occurs.

BTW…welcome to the Pacific Northwest. I hope you packed an umbrella….

*Blessings*

Hey, thank you for stopping by The Broken Y! I love the post about Grace. What a beautiful person and so fortunate for you to have had the life experience with her. I need to get caught up on you. Sounds like you’ve had alot going on in your life. I’m a follower of Jesus Christ and believe with every fiber of my being that HIS “grace” is enough to get us through every trial and every joy.

Blessings to you, new friend.

I’m glad you shared this with me. I’m sorry we have it in common. It’s a pain I wish no one understood. Damn, Cowboy. Just damn. I find myself quite out of words just now.
