The Allied Arts Association’s Art in the Park was held July 24 and 25 under the shade trees in Howard Amon Park in Richland, WA. With more than 200 artists attending from all over the country, I decided to head on out and check it out for myself.

The first thing that caught my attention was this immaculate Ford Convertible Torino!

OK, lets get back on track here. It was a hot, sunny day…and there were a lot of people. Fortunately there were almost as many food and drink stands as there were crafters!

Here’s a booth, I don’t really know what they sell, just thought it would make a good picture.

Here’s another! I know they sold crafty things here.

There were actually 2 vendors that caught my attention. I purchased some cowboy music and found some really cool custom jewelry I will be buying…once I get a cowgirl by my side, that is.
Check out this really cool totem pole! Do you ever notice that when you’re trying to get a clear picture of some landmark, people just seem to flock over to it. I have a whole sequence of shots, that prove that a cowboy with camera is a picture hoggin, stranger magnet.

All in all, I had a really good time and was able to meet a lot of really good people.
What craft fairs do you go to? Let us know, where and when!

I lived in Germany for the past 5 years (just moved back to the states a year ago) and would go all over the countryside to the local bazaars. I loved them… and miss them….
There are many here in the States also, from your local, off the beaten path, to your bigger, annual events. Explore and enjoy, Erasue!
I can’t wait to take advantage of them more. Since being in the situation that life has dealt to me, I have moved quite a bit in the last year and I ‘think’ I am moving again in two weeks (from cross the world, to across the country, and now back across country again…) so yeah, when I finally find where I want to settle and start my life again, I will definitley take more advantage. Hey! Maybe I will stop every couple of hundred miles on my next journey and take your advice… explore and enjoy
Great Advice Cowboy!
